Here we are celebrating Imbolc, a holiday we didn’t even know about 2 days ago! Life is wonderful and weird!!
A couple of days ago we had stumbled upon a little booklet called “The Earths Cycle of Celebration”, when browsing through a cute mystical shop. For a long time we have been interested in learning about ancient holidays, and this booklet was calling out to us with its handwritten contents and beautiful illustrations, all created by the author herself Glennie Kindred.
Back in the van we had a closer look inside and we discovered a celebration coming up called Imbolc. What is Imbolc you might ask? Good question, we asked ourselves the same. Even though we are green behind the ears, we’ll have a crack at explaining what we learned:
Imbolc is a pagan holiday which marks the time when spring is returning and a new cycle is beginning. It honors Brigid- Goddess of fertility, creativity, and healing. This is a potent time for vision and divination, as the link to the inner realms are strong. We can use the inner wisdom we have gained during the winter months and bring it into the active part of the year.
